A permanent video room for
your volunteer team.

Coordinating volunteers means regular meetings with people who come and go. Your video room shouldn't. Nexus gives your charity a permanent, branded room with one link that never changes — put it in your volunteer welcome pack and it works forever. No new link each month, no volunteers struggling to find the meeting, no ten-minute late starts.

A charity volunteer team meeting in a private Nexus video room

Built for volunteer coordinators, charity teams, and committee meetings across the UK.

One link for every meeting, every volunteer

Volunteers come and go. Your room stays. The same link works for every meeting, every year — no setup, no new invitations when someone joins the team or moves on. Put it in your volunteer welcome pack and they're in for as long as they serve.

The room belongs to your charity, not to whoever set up the last Zoom call.

GDPR-appropriate by design

Charities handle sensitive topics — safeguarding, finances, personnel matters. Nexus rooms are private by default. There's no public link to discover, no way to join without the host admitting you, and no data shared with third-party marketing platforms.

Video streams are encrypted in transit. Your data stays on European servers, processed on our own infrastructure — not routed through US-owned consumer platforms.

Coordination that doesn't depend on free tiers

Free video tools change their terms, cut features, and add restrictions without warning. Your charity's coordination meetings shouldn't depend on the free tier of a product that could change next month.

Nexus is a simple, paid service with a clear purpose: your team meets in the same room, reliably, for as long as you need it. No ads, no upsells, no surprise changes. From £12 a month.

How groups use Nexus

A volunteer team meeting in a Nexus video room

Volunteer team meetings

A permanent room for weekly or monthly team meetings. The same link, the same place, consistent even as volunteers rotate. Share the link once — it works forever. The audit log records attendance automatically.

A new volunteer being onboarded in a video call

Volunteer onboarding

New volunteers join the same room link from their welcome pack. The host admits them from the waiting room — no accounts, no downloads. One consistent place for induction sessions, introductions, and getting new people up to speed.

A charity working group meeting online

Working group coordination

Fundraising committees, safeguarding panels, project working groups — any ongoing group that meets regularly and needs a consistent place to do it. No new link each time, no forgotten passwords, no late starts.

Common questions

Do volunteers need to create an account?
No. Only the coordinator needs an account. Volunteers just click the room link and get admitted from the waiting room. No sign-up, no download, no app to install — which matters when you're onboarding people who aren't tech-confident.
Is Nexus GDPR-compliant for UK charity meetings?
Yes. No member data is shared with third-party marketing platforms. Video streams are encrypted in transit and processed on European servers. Data export and erasure are available at any time under UK GDPR. We don't mine your data or use it for anything other than running your room.
Where is our data stored?
Your room data is stored on servers in Europe. Video and audio are processed on our own infrastructure — we don't use third-party video platforms like Zoom or Teams under the hood.
Does it work for older volunteers who struggle with technology?
Yes. Volunteers click one link and wait to be admitted — that's it. No accounts, no downloads, no updates to install. The same link works every time, so they bookmark it once and never have to find a new one.
Can new volunteers use the same link as everyone else?
Yes. The room link is permanent. Add it to your volunteer welcome pack and every new volunteer uses the same link as everyone else. When someone moves on, the link stays — no need to set up a new meeting.
Is Zoom GDPR-compliant for UK charities?
Zoom operates under US jurisdiction and routes data through US servers by default. Whether that meets your charity's GDPR obligations depends on your data processing assessment. Nexus processes all video and audio on European infrastructure with no third-party data sharing.
Can we use Nexus for larger charity events or AGMs?
The Club tier supports up to 12 participants, which covers most volunteer committees. For larger events, the Business tier supports up to 25 and Corporate supports up to 50. See the pricing page for details.
