Common questions

Is the room private enough for campaign planning?
Yes. Rooms are private by default — not indexed, not searchable, not listed anywhere publicly. Every person is admitted by the host through a waiting room. No data is shared with third-party platforms. Video is encrypted in transit.
Do members need to create accounts?
No. Only the host (usually the group organiser) needs an account. Members join via the room link and the host admits them. No sign-up, no download, no email required.
Can we afford this on a small group budget?
A Group room for up to 8 people costs £12 a month — £1.50 each if you split it eight ways. A Club room for up to 12 is £18. These are designed for community groups, not enterprise budgets.
Where is our data stored?
Your room data is stored on European servers. Video and audio are processed on our own infrastructure — not routed through US-owned platforms. We don't share data with third parties or use it for advertising.
Can someone record our meetings without us knowing?
There is no automatic recording. Recording is a feature the host can start manually — it's not hidden and participants can see when it's active. If your group doesn't want recording, simply don't use it.
Can we use this alongside our existing tools?
Yes. Nexus is just your video room. You can keep using Signal, WhatsApp, email, or whatever else your group uses for messaging. The persistent chat in Nexus is useful for meeting-related discussion but it doesn't replace your other channels.
