How do I admit someone from the waiting room?
All guests must pass through the waiting room before joining a call. As host, you control who gets admitted and when.
Admitting guests during a call
1. When a guest is waiting, a badge appears on the waiting room button in your toolbar — it shows the number of people waiting.
2. Click the waiting room button to open the waiting room panel.
3. You will see each waiting guest's name and how long they have been waiting.
4. Click 'Admit' next to a guest's name to let them into the call, or 'Reject' to turn them away.
5. To admit everyone at once, click 'Admit all' at the top of the panel.
Admitting guests before joining a call
Guests can enter the waiting room even if no host is present. They will wait there until a host joins and admits them. You will receive an email notification when a guest has been waiting for more than 30 seconds.
Rejected guests
A rejected guest is removed from the waiting room and sees a message that they were not admitted. They can attempt to rejoin using the same link.
**Tip:** If you are expecting guests, join the room a couple of minutes early — guests waiting more than a few minutes will often assume something is wrong.
